I found out about an about a new softball training facility in North Haven, DiamondZone. I couldn’t wait to go see what it had to offer. I started to take hitting lessons with Brett and JT, they had a lot of work to do but after a while, I finally caught on. I remember when I finally got my mechanics down Brett and JT were so happy and so was I.
After a year of training I decided, I would like to join a travel softball team. I chose DiamondZone based on the immense amount of personal focus and help the coaches gave, and made the team. Making a new family. Ever since that day I have never even thought of playing for any other organization. Throughout my years playing travel softball I have always been highly supported and encouraged by the coaching staff to work hard and they’ve molded me into the player I am today. Specifically, my coach Carolyn Biel, who helped me find the person I want to be on and off the field. She’s spent countless hours encouraging me, and teaching me how to manage the mental aspect of the game. I don’t know where I would be without her.
Choosing to play softball at Diamond Zone was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The coaches guidance and support have helped me to be not just the player I am today, but the person. I simply cannot imagine training or playing for anyone else. Thank you DiamondZone for my second family.
