In Their Own Words: Kayla B.

"Overall, making my commitment to play DZ has probably been one of the best decisions I have made."

I originally heard of DiamondZone through a friend and figured I would try it out and now I can’t imagine playing for anyone else.

I first came to DZ when I was in 7the grade because my previous travel team was falling apart and I didn’t see myself having a future there. I wanted to improve my softball skills, play more and make new friends. That is exactly what I got.

All the relationships that I have gained throughout the past 4 years has really made it a beneficial experience. Not only with teammates but also with coaches, especially Coach Vinny. Coach Vinny is like a dad to me. He has not only helped me tremendously improve my way of thinking throughout games and practices but also he has helped me to improve my physical abilities. He is very open and not afraid to give me constructive criticism which I believe has gravely helped me come along.

Through my many injuries I have had while playing softball it has taught me to look at things differently. Sitting on the bench while watching my teammates go in and out of the field has shown me that softball is not only a physical game but a really big mental game. Mentally and physically I have gotten stronger and because of coaches and teammates I have learned to be confident in my playing.

All of DiamondZone Staff is very kind and encouraging especially, Brett Bradanini. Since the first time I walked through DZ’s door in the 7th grade, Brett has made me feel welcome. I always enjoy being there. All the little tips and lessons he has given me really play a big role in the way I have improved.

Overall, making my commitment to play DZ has probably been one of the best decisions I have made. It has helped my softball abilities grow physically, mentally and personally. I doubt I would be where I am now if it weren’t for DiamondZone.
